i spent the end of last week at the Haven… a blogging conference. it was AWESOME!! haven is where all of the top diy bloggers got together in atlanta for a 2 days. we were able to attend seminars on how to build your blog, how to take professional photos, to carpentry and slipcovering.
i was really looking forward to going and finally meeting reni {my branding wizard from bliss and tell}. she did all of my branding work for my chairs and for collective {our new store}, she lives in san diego and i have NEVER met her. she was a speaker at the conference… but her plane ended up having a lot of damage and was cancelled 
so, she wasn’t able to get out of CA and never got to meet her. still so sad about that!
i have to admit that i was pretty nervous about going into this thing knowing no one and i quickly stared wondering “who am i going to sit with or eat lunch with?” i shook off my insecurities and walked right in… about 2 minutes later i realized that tons of these ladies were alone and from much farther from home {it was just a 3o minute ride for me}. these ladies came from all over!! i met some very fun and new blog friends 
the conference was amazing and it was so cool to meet the bloggers that i follow {like marian from miss mustard seed} and meet new people that i can’t wait to follow!

there was a purdy paint brush too… already put that to use though
can’t wait until haven 2013!!!!!!! if you like to blog and if you like diy project, then YOU MUST GO!!!!!!!!
